Probably just some real simple, flash (edit: flash sux, ajax4lyf) based chat. Perhaps I can transfer the password hashes over too so we don't have to register twice (I hate that).

If a chat was green lighted, registered users allowed only or what?

i also own a forum and have a chat in it. i use a vbulletin board and have added a java chat. real easy to use. only thing with them is they have the server so they hold the chat info. saves server space but leaves whats said to others to store. ive had no issues with it yet in 6 month or so.

I'm still going to implement it, I'm just looking for the best way to do so.

Again, I want to import all the password hashes from these forums and implement that into the chat so people won't have to re-register for the chat, I hate when you have to do that!

So it'll take a second, but I'm not going to just slap up some chat, I want to make it nice.

Also I'm talking to some people, and we may get our own private irc rooom as well along with a chat room, who knows.

I finally stopped being lazy and did it; chats have arrived brah:

btw - both java and flash suck!
This chat has been implemented in ajax; all conversations are held on our server locally! There is no external logging happening anywhere throughout the chat process!
